International Cultural Exchange - Dancers

Mark and I were lucky enough to get free tickets for a dance show from my community center. We had never been to the Akasaka station area. We realized once we were in the area that there probably isn't a lot there that we would go to see. The building that had the dance show was very nice. We arrived about 30 minutes after the show began. It was open seating so that wasn't a problem.

The dancers were beautiful. Each dance only lasted about ten minutes. After each one there was a break in order for the props to be changed. The kimonos were so beautiful. Mark and I both really liked the purple ones. The color was so intense.

We were only able to see a few different dance groups before it was time for the certificates and speeches. We listened to a few and then realized that it was probably going to be the whole last hour of the show. We then hit the road. I am glad we went, but it was a bit different than I had expected.

Enjoy the photos.
